Lamborghini has been around since the 1970s when it made a prototype of a sports car called the Countach. The name of this car comes from the Italian language. It was the first car to have scissor doors and vertical air intake in the back. It was also one of the first cars to use P-Zero tires made by Pirelli. One of the best Countachs sold for over $1 million, making it one of the most expensive cars ever.

But it took longer than expected to make the product, and customers were getting impatient. They didn't want to wait. So, the engineers came up with a noisy, exciting idea for a car. The idea was accepted, and the Lamborghini company became a legend within five years. Even though the company initially had some problems, it is now one of the most well-known brands in the world.

At the end of the 1960s, Lamborghini stopped making the Jarama and turned its attention to making the LM002. It had a trans-mounted V12 engine that could go 170MPH at its fastest. The company needed to boost sales, so they asked Bertone to make a new model based on the Urraco. The Silhouette was shown for the first time at the Geneva Motor Show in 1976. The car did well but didn't meet safety standards in the United States.

Lamborghini made the Espada Series II in the 1970s. This was the first Lamborghini to have doors that opened outward like wings. It made Lamborghini a name that was always associated with luxury and speed in Italy. The Marzal stopped being made in 1977, but the S version is still being made today. By the end of the 1970s, 237 Countach LP400s had been made by the company.

Even though its cars were popular, Lamborghini soon ran into money problems. The oil crisis of the 1970s hurt the sales of fast cars, and the company went out of business in 1978. The Mimran brothers owned a sugar empire in Senegal and then bought the company. The brothers liked sports cars, and the company trusted them. So the Mimran brothers helped turn things around for Lamborghini. In 1984, they sold the company to Chrysler Corp. and Mycom Setdco. Then, in 1998, the Volkswagen Group bought Lamborghini, putting the company back in business.

Lamborghini changed the body style after the 350 GT came out in 1963. The first design of the Scaglione was rare, so Lamborghini went to Carrozzeria Touring in Milan. Felice Bianchi Anderloni did a great job with his new plan. It led to a rush of orders and made Lamborghini a famous car name.

Ferruccio Lamborghini came up with the idea for Lamborghini. His parents were farmers, but sports cars made him want to do what he wanted. He was born on April 28, 1916, in Randazzo, Italy. He became interested in mechanics when he was young, so he went to the Bologna School of Technology. His knowledge of technology came in handy during the Second World War.

Lamborghini started by making tractors, but he eventually moved into the car business and started making cars. Lamborghini made more than just tractors. They also made a lot of fast sports cars. He was an Air Force mechanic during World War II. He became an expert at improvising with machines because of this.

Ferruccio Lamborghini started his business in Cento, Bologna, by making tractors. He bought military engines from World War II that had been left over. The company increased after that, but the 1973 oil crisis caused money problems. After the oil crisis, Ferruccio sold the company's remaining shares to a Swiss man named Rene Leimer. After that, it changed its name to Automobili Lamborghini SpA (Lamborghini) and kept growing.

The museum is part of the headquarters of the Lamborghini car company, showing everything about the company. It has a lot of things to look at on both floors. In addition to the main models, the museum has photos, engines, and old shop tools on display. This is one of the complete factory museums in the world, and it is a fun way to learn about all the different parts of the company.
